Nasri

I've had a feeling during this window that we may have been going for Nasri under the radar. Since City seem to prefer to do things with a certain element of stealth these days, and as far as I know, Nasri has never specified that he would like to move to Man Ure, it made me think that there is a possibility he could actually be on his way to us.

He is a quality player and was genuine world class for at least half of last season - strangely all four of he, Tevez, VDV, and Bale started to fade around December/January for a plethora of reasons but as they say class is permanent and I think Nasri is class.

15m + 120k/week would probably be enough given his contract expires in a year and he wants parity with Fabregas' 110k/week.

If Fabregas doesn't leave then that will teach Barca they shouldn't have f**cked around trying to get Sanchez because potentially that will actually cause a chain effect for them not getting their No 1 target, very silly I think.

At least we will still have done pretty well.

I too think that Nasri would be an exciting addition to City and would love him to sign for us.

In all honesty, if you watch Alcantara, iniesta, Xavi, Busquet, Masherano, Affellay and Keita. 7 players for 3 positions. If they sell Bojan who wants to start somewhere, they'll have Messi, Pedro, with Jefren (perhaps the worst Spanish player I have seen at the European U21 tournament) as the no1 backup to the three strikers. Granted Iniesta, and Affelay both can play as wide strikers, but really Sanchez is a greater need for Barca than most are willing to admit. He will become the 4th forward on a team that uses 3. That could be 40 - 45 games a piece for everyone over the season.

Barca needs defenders and forwards more than it needs midfielders. Fabregas is a want, Sanchez on the other hand might just be a need.
