I am just reading the sad news that Nathan Ake's Dad died just minutes after he scored that goal last night. What tragic news for the lad.

He can’t have been any age. Must have taken a lot of mental strength for Ake to play last night.

Extremely poignant this. Sounds like his Dad was waiting for one last moment before he passed away.

Ake has clearly had a fucking lot on his plate for a while.
