Sad news losing your father at such a relatively young age. Must’ve been tough for him to play yesterday. His dad surely would’ve wanted him to play and Nathan has gave him a very proud moment.
Football is forgotten at times like this and Nathan and his family will have the sympathy of everyone concerned with the team, the club and, indeed, football. Dreadful news which, unfortunately, no words can soften. Only time eases the pain.
So dreadful for him and his family...even harder that it is played out publicly too...fair play to him for playing last night...and making his did so very proud one last time....
He stepped up to play when our other CB's were injured even though he was dealing with this. That takes real courage. Hope the club offers him all the support he'll need.
Terribly sad news. Ake showed good strength of character to go out on the pitch and play with that churning around in his heart. He gave him a good send off, a shame he wasn't with him though.
His head was not in the game and its very understandable! He tried everything and scored a goal but his mind must have been somewhere else through out the game
He stepped up when the call came to fill in for Laporte/Stones in a difficult time!
This all day long
I couldn't do anything for weeks when mine passed away. Fair play to him to step up when the team needed him
He will definitely get my support all game
