Can someone explain how a 100% increase is ridiculous when the minimum win goes up 150%?????

Can see your point but the reasoning is with people struggling for money they are hardly going to double there budget to gamble on the lottery.
If you played 2 lines before, just play one now.

Fools errand playing the lottery anyway mate.

You 'lottery dream shattering wanker' mate.

They've lost a customer in me anyway.

Biggest mistake you can make with the lottery is having your own numbers.

Put a lucky dip on and that way there is never a what if or a regret if a regular set of numbers comes out.

Next week the lottery will go up from a pound a line to 2 pounds a line, i know its the first increase since the lotterys inception in 1994 but its too steep for me

I have had 2 lines every Sat and Wed costing 4 pound using the same birthday numbers right from the start, a rise to 8 quid is out so one of the lines is going to have to go and you can bet that the line i drop will come up soon

I know there is an increase in prize money mainly the 10 pound for 3 nos going up to 25 quid but i think they have dropped a bollock here and a lot of people will stop playing

The odds don't agree.

I wonder how the lottery would have been if branson had not lost out to camelot a few years ago, i don't think he would have made it £2 a ticket.

Used to play a set of numbers regularly however went to this site

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.lottery.co.uk/statistics/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.lottery.co.uk/statistics/</a>

Picked some numbers from the least and most overdue numbers list and won £40 over the last 5 weeks, not scientific I know and it's all down to chance but I went over a year not winning anything

It's still a mugs game at odds of 14 million to 1, but the amounts are soft life shattering it just sucks people in, I have always thought they should give more for 2 numbers etc, may be £100 or more, which would reduce the jackpot but it would be more worthwhile

I'm not sure you've thought it through that much.

The chance of only matching two numbers is about 1 in 7.5. If they gave out a ton every time that happened, they'd go bust after the first week.

Well they'll lose out with me , for one ......

i used to do five lines which cost me a fiver .....

but from now on i'll just do the two lines which will cost a pound less !
