Watching the first 25 minutes, what seems to hamper us a bit is that neither Rice nor Ward-Prowse are as quick thinking and gifted on the ball as Foden, which leads to him trying to play quick one-touch football and them either losing possession because they weren’t expecting a pass, or having to take two or three touches to control the ball before passing, killing a potential move out of midfield.

JWP is so invisible.
Walker and Sancho seemingly not relying on him at all lol.
I’ve been thinking the same. Want Foden to go where he is. Maybe he’ll be able to cut in and shoot.

Still not really sure what Ward-Prowse adds to this team. Good worker, very good from set pieces but doesn’t really excel at anything else

Yeah. Raz was a little unlucky with that square lay-off to Kane being a bit too far forward, otherwise it would have likely been a beautiful Phil-Raz-Kane-Raz goal sequence.His first thought is to get it forward. Played some nice passes to the forward players who haven’t been able to utilise it or keep possession.
