The reasons to go to war with Iraq certainly may have been flawed, but it wasn't for "the oil" because if it was we've not seen much of it.

The yanks planes took off from the airbase at Akrotiri in Cyprus and in reprisal some Arab types attacked the base, I remember being sat in the garden having lunch when mortar bombs started landing around the place...........nearly choked on me spuds!! They also machine gunned and rocket attacked the families beach, tough guys huh!

So to use your tactic of switching topic back and forth, my only point was that conspiracy theorists constantly spout "Oil" (pardon the pun) but as a very interested observer I haven't seen any proof of all this oil we've been robbing.

I think it's more about ensuring the ongoing unfettered supply of oil from the Middle East rather than 'owning it' per se. The West doesn't want to be in a position where global economic meltdown could be in the hands of three or four lunatics with an agenda.

Well i have always felt the oil argument was for people that just started towing a line with everyone else as fuck oil decent has happened since we invaded Iraq for there oil. Certainly though we saw alot of rebuilding contracts handed to US and British companies

Of course we knew he had chemical/biological weapons and how much- we still have copies of the invoices. We also knew what the shelf life was and the fact he had no way of reproducing.
