I don't think he will at all. Hasn't got the work-rate. We all know Nasri is a talented player but he, for me, lacks the motivation and desire of the very top players. When the going gets rough, Nasri isn't usually there.

Agreed. I don't understand why we have not chosen to subsidize their wages for 1-2 years a la Adebayor, but I can't really begin to try and understand the complexities of these deals or what Txiki is thinking.

Whilst China certainly has money to spend, it might not be everyones cup of tea. I think Delph will certainly be part of Peps plans.

Some on here want Txiki to pay the few extra millions to get a transfer done. They probably forget Txiki needs to settle the players salary as well to make a transfer happen. If he does, than who are we to moan about the players salary when he can actually leave? And for the record, it's not the nplayer asking for a transfer, it's actually City that at some point will tell the player he is no longer needed. Than it's up to the player and his agent to see if any clubs are interested and willing to settle the salary issue as well.
Didn't Txiki agreed to the core of players at City, except yaya, to lower their salary and up this with bonusses?

As this thread is about Navas, this is probably one of a few who is not on a big weekly payment. And we all know Navas has the desire to return home. For me he is not the first player I want to go at all, and he has done a great job over the years. If he ends up being back up to Sane with the latter still to prove himself, I can't think of a better one myself.

Nasri lacks the attitude & application, does not fit into a Pep culture .... Navas does not have the talent of Nasri & can be frustrating at times but he always give 100% and never stops trying whereas Nasri well....

Your claim that the player and his agent are responsible Doesn't sound right. They have a contract and if the club want rid, surely the club will lead in looking for alternatives

Didn't say they are responsible, I said it's up to them.
I know it's not working this way with most of the players nowadays, but if I was by long financial independent I would try and play as much football as I can and order my agent to work for his money and find me a club with the notion of being willing to lower my salary. Unfortunately I'm not a professional footballplayer with a weekly salary like most at City and told to go and look elsewhere.

Yeah hence why Nasri only has to change his attitude. As you sat he has the talent. Navas doesn't. Pep clearly wants talented players who apply themselves correctly. Not less talented ones who have the right attitude.

he owes us nothing but with sane and nolito signing the time is right for jesus to go home. has been frustrating at times but ultimately has played an important part in our success and should go with every fans best wishes.
 
The good thing about Navas (whilst pellers was manager ) was he worked v hard compared with other players. Under Pep all players will be working hard, hence he is surplus. Shame. I think he deserves a good send off though.

Or he moves to wing back

I dont think he is surplus. This season will actually see targets in the box for him to find. Last season, no one was willing to get in the box hence why, on most occasions he cut back inside. If he does stay (and I hope he does), I think we will see improved stats from him.
 
He's not a player that's going to improve under Pep, he's very limited and quite simply isn't versatile enough to play consistently at the level we're at. Needs to go now for everybody's sake really. Appreciate his efforts during his time with us but time to move on.
 
I think it may have or can be a case of him only going if others cant be moved on. But if it's tough getting yaya, nasri, bony and kolarov to move on, the squad spaces will dictate the next level of players having to move. If I was Navas, Mangala and Fernando I'd be hoping the other bunch move on and move fast.
