Navas wants Iker Casillas to join MCFC

If you ask me I reckon at the moment Valdes is going to be going into the world cup as Spain's number one, if we got Casillas in January I can see him playing out of his skin to get back his number one position for what may be his last ever world cup, that could be great for our trophy push.

I really don't think we can rely on Hart at the moment, both him and the defence except Kompany and Zabaleta look like they will be the reasons we win nothing this season, if we don't sort that out from now until January when the window opens I fear we will come out at the end of the season with nothing.

If we win nothing two years in a row not only will players such as Sergio and David most likely jump ship but the clubs image will seriously look a bit of a joke with all the money spent on the squad and the talent we have available, it would be a serious disaster.

No chance, Casillas is Spain's captain.

Nothing Valdes does will get him into the Spain side ahead of Casillas.

If Casillas isn't playing regularly for the rest of the season , you can be sure del bosque will drop him for valdes. No one can be picked just on reputation alone, especially if valdes continues to be in brilliant form

Just looked up on Wikipedia and I cannot believe this bloke is only 32! Was pretty sure he was touching 40! Just said it in another thread but I'd take any World Cup/Champions League winning captain in a heartbeat.

If Madrid are willing to sell, and I can't see why they wouldn't be given that he's currently second choice, then we should definitely be interested. Would allow Hart to step back from the spotlight for a couple of years whilst learning from one of the very best.

I would love us to sign him. Knows Pellegrini, international team mates with Silva, Navas, Negredo and Garcia. Proven winning mentality, would benefit from a change of scenery, would solve our keeper problem in the short term and would hopefully help Hart in the long term. What would happen with Hart though if we were to sign a better keeper? Loan him out for a year or sell him altogether

Get rid altogether he wont sit on the bench like Pantillimon which he would be doing if Casillas came in.

How many full 90 mins have you seen Caillas play for Madrid in the last 12 months ?

I've been a massive 'supporter' of Hart throughout the good and bad times. But if there is a realistic chance of getting Casillas then I think we have to do it.

Although he's not played much he is still trusted to play CL and Spanish WC qualfiers. He obviously hasn't completely bottomed out in form. He isn't picked for political reasons, not footballing reasons.

Regardless of why he's not playing, Diego Lopez is a world-class goalkeeper and deserves his place in Madrid's line-up at the moment. Which ever keeper is on Madrid's bench come January we should try and sign.

I'd rather wait til the Summer and take Valdes on a free.

Still young for a keeper and i think his distribution would take us up a level. Plus he's made the decision to leave Barcelona, whereas Casillas's heart would still be in Madrid.
