Jesus Navas has been tipped to become Manchester City’s answer to Gareth Bale.

Navas’ Spanish team-mate, Andres Iniesta, insists that City’s £15million winger is from the same mould as Spurs sensation Bale.

Spain meet Brazil tonight in the Confederations Cup final, but Iniesta took time out his preparations to heap praise on the City new-boy .

He said: “Navas is a very special player. He is going to cause the defences in the Premier League a real problem when he plays for City.

“Jesus has so much speed, and his feet are so quick, that it becomes nearly impossible to stop him without fouling him.

“The only player that I can compare him with that is already playing in England is Gareth Bale.”

Navas came off the bench on Thursday to score a shoot-out penalty that put Spain into tonight’s decider.

Looking forward to watching Navas as he appears to be exactly what we need. But there is no comparison with Gareth Bale as a player although the quick feet etc maybe similar qualities.
