A lot more intent in your transfers this year. Last year was basically standing still for you guys but Fernadinho and Navas is a statement of intent. After losing Balotelli and Tevez I'd be very surprised if you didn't sign a top striker too. Cavani on your radar?

Yeah , last season we were a bit lethargic in the transfer market , to say the least , and i suspect the club have learned lessons from that ....

rumours this morning that Chelsea have bid £45 million for Cavani , rumours too that your own club are now interested in signing him , but i suspect that Citys interest in the player has cooled ...... the Napoli chairman is undoubtedly doing his best to fire up a bidding war , despite any buy out clause that could be 'triggered' , which in itself is a huge fee.

He claims that City can't afford him , which is i suspect more a ruse to try to get the Sheikhs back up , as much as a firm belief .... a statement designed no doubt to ensure that City remain 'in the mix' , even if it's only in the background , and force the players price up to other suitors.

Wouldn't surprise me if Cavani goes nowhere ... and after his alleged 'lauding' of Real Madrid last week , it would seem that they look the best bet should he leave.

What's all the fuss about Bale? I don't get the hype, meh I must be the only deluded one.

To me, Bale hasn't proved anything yet. It's easy to stand out in an average team. Until he plays in the champions League regularly and for a proper club no one knows how good he is. As for FWA/young player of the year, it's absolutely joke award, don't make me laugh, may I remind you of Scott(y) Parker and Kyle Walker (no kidding) also won! it's pure bias.

To me, Bale hasn't proved anything yet. It's easy to stand out in an average team. Until he plays in the champions League regularly and for a proper club no one knows how good he is. Navas's assist stats probably are misleading in terms his overall quality.

How many times have I seen him drift past a player, nail the perfect cross in (p.i.), causing pinball in the box before someone fires it home.

Assist doesn't give you credit for that but chance creation does, and Navas created he most La Liga chances.

Top player and for only £14.9m, I'm chuffed.

I agree! just play Bale on the Wing and he is not half the player Navas is that's why Bale has gone from left back to left winger to free role he isn't good enough to tie down a regular place in 1 position he can be stopped like was proved many times!
