I've watched it back a few times now and Mario is the one who picks the ball up, then Aleks Kolarov pinches it off him, then de Jong blocks Mario off with his body and Aleks starts telling him to fuck off.

Mario did nowt wrong. I thought our other players instigated and handled the situation poorly.

No qualms with Mario over this whatsoever!

(especially considering it was a right footers free kick, he scored from exactly there against that very team and goalkeeper last season, and his second goal in Saturday's game showed what he could have done with the free kick... and especially considering Aleks fucking missed anyway!)

NDJ & the other players (Hughes' signings) & AK were the instigators!

Yes IMO NDJ actions were divisive & disgraceful .

Yes the media painted the free kick incident as disgraceful. Only Pudge et al disagreed. Or are they holding NDJ and the others blameless and their actions not disgraceful?

The whole incident was a DISGRACE.

If you actually watched the video i posted about the incident and still believe that Nige 'attacked' Mario, what is your opinion on Mario pushing and shoving Kompany, THE CAPTAIN? Surely by your logic Mario should be given the death penalty?

NDJ has been poor since coming back from injury, but he looks like he just cant be arsed anymore on saturdays non preformance, its rumoured he is on the way out at the end of the season and on this showing its no bad thing.

Mario was showing a bit of desire for the free kick, something that was sadly missing in a few others during the game, and even if he was wrong to try and take the free kick you can not fault the guy for wanting to do something to change the way things were going.

I'd say this goes way back to last year... right after the witch hunt against him for the Ben Arfa tackle he's completely lost his bottle.


We used to see him slide in every tackle and win every ball, since then he's not taken that risk. Media can take responsibility for that.

You could see that NDJ was not a happy camper when he was benched at the demolition derby for Yaya.
