Ndombele (signed for Spurs)

His first touch and control appear very inconsistent, probably too inconsistent for me. At times he looks like he’s a world beater, at others he looks like fucking bambi on ice.

2016 Sterling thread wants it’s post back.
There’s not been a bigger supporter of Sterling since he’s been here, even when he was getting pelters in the first season under Pellegrini. The difference is Sterling plays in a position which allows for that inconsistency, Ndombele doesn’t. A poor first touch in those areas cost goals, just ask Laporte against Spurs.

No position allows for inconsistency mate. Just ask Sane.

We should have paid the extra money and got Jordan Ibe - Sterling was always the inferior cheaper alternative.

There’s a huge difference in allowance between inconsistency of first touch and inconsistency of effort. Just ask Walker.

Walker’s problem is concentration - he switches off sometimes. I think he was mentally tired last season - not surprising with no summer break. Hopefully a few weeks in his aunties caravan on the North Wales coast this summer and he’ll be fine.
