Hope it helps mate, alternatively if you're on a laptop it may have a recovery partition for really drastic action

Just waitin for a reply from that forum now, the laptop does come with a recovery partition and recovery cds in case it goes totally tits up but I'm using that as an absolute last resort lol

Cheers for the help mate, shifted it all now, the 2-spyware link you gave me with instructions to remove it manually sorted it all out after a bit of playing about with startup processes. Cheers again
