Great deal for all concerned. Will be interesting to see if he plays CB or RB. After the Valencia game it looks like Micah may well be a starter for us this season so if him and Ned both get a good run of games in the same position i'd like to see who comes out on top. Remember prior to Richards coming along the press all talked about Ned as an England regular.

Neither of these guys would get anywhere near Barca's team, nor Real Madrid. Nor indeed Chelsea or Arsenal.

It's a blunt fact of life. Sadly for those who would still like Jeff Whitley and Dixon Etuhu in the team the days of overated academy boys getting a first team birth are over.

Boyata showed more class in the few brief appearances he made last year than either of these immensely athletic but limited footballers.

I beg to differ. Richards can be astonishingly good. He'd walk into arsenals team and tbh Chelsea's as well. Barcelona have dani alves and real sergio ramos so would be a bit hard.

I was happy when we turned down a 6M bid from Sunderland. Hoping they would raise it to 7 possibly 8M. I thought good we are not letting our players go on the cheap. I dont see any benefits to City in a Loan deal if the Manager has made his mind up about Ned.

Still, I wish Ned all the best. A little improvement in his passing and an England call up is a possibility. He is better than Shawcross,Upson and Cahill already.
