Need apartment

Hello!

Me and my girlfriend are moving to Manchester next week (oh joy! :D), and will be living in a hotel the first week. My question is; will it be possible for us to find an apartment in that week, or do you think I should consider another week at a hotel?

Depends on how much time in that week you're going to have to look, and if you have any idea where in the city you want to live. Best bet is to check out http://www.findaproperty.com, gives you details on the area around each place, distances to stuff etc. Find somewhere you fancy, then focus on that area. Easily doable, just need the time and preparation!
