Needless stupid bookings.

Just wondering, if a player scores and takes his shirt off and reveals an identical shirt underneath, would he still get booked?

valid question. I think this requires FIFA clarification.

It happened in America in the MLS, a player took of his top after scoring to reveal an identical one underneath, and was subsequently booked! Look it up on YouTube or something...

While it is permissible for a player to demonstrate his joy when a goal has been scored, the celebration must not be excessive.
Reasonable celebrations are allowed, but the practice of choreographed celebrations is not to be encouraged when it results in excessive time- wasting and referees are instructed to intervene in such cases.
A player must be cautioned if:
• in the opinion of the referee, he makes gestures which are provocative, derisory or inflammatory
• he climbs on to a perimeter fence to celebrate a goal being scored
• he removes his shirt or covers his head with his shirt.
• he covers his head or face with a mask or other similar item
Half the Southampton team went over the advertising hoarding when they scored only one got booked why?

only one did, and to be fair to him I don't think he meant to either.

never realised wearing a mask was not allowed, wondered why Gutierrez didn't do that celebration.

What if you had a mask of your own face on and took it off revealing your own face?
