From a source in the club - negotiations are at an advanced stage to replace the boss with Frank Rijkaard......

This has apparently gone a lot further than the spag boll and glass of Frisante shared by negotiators with Mancini lastweek...

You heard it here first...

Rijkaard is not a good idea. Mancini would be the preferred choice for me if Hughes goes.

Don't fancy Rijkaard meself and certainly not at this time. Let's just give it to the end of season and have a review then of where we are and what we need to do. There is no need to panic. However ...

i'd take rijkaard
you don't win the champions league and la liga twice if your no good. good manager plays a better style of football than hughes get him in

If the owners are going to get rid of Hughes they have my backing. All I would say is that if this latest rumour is true, the owners need to move swiftly. Maybe Rijkaard would be able to attract those potential signings who are either not interested or dithering over coming to City whilst Hughes is in charge.

Rijkaard developed the best European sides in the last decade at Barcelona. Although it appears some players got a little too big for the boots and he subsequently lost what he had developed he is still exactly 1 billion times better than Hughes and I would be intrigued, excited and interested in who he'd bring in and the style of football we'd play!

Agreed and he will have learnt from that and would hopefully handle things differently this time around. I too can see this happening.

I'll make a prediction. He will be our manager and Kaka for £50,000,000 by Feb 2.

Another whispering campaign designed to unsettle the club!

When will some of you learn! I am quite certain that these whispers are coming from without rather than within, with the sole purpose of disrupting the club, with the connivance of many useful fools on this forum and other City forums

Supporter of: Man City I never get ITK information ever!

But, I have just heard from a source inside the club (albeit through a family member of mine) that we are a fair way down the line to install Rijkaard as the new manager.

I don't know anymore information than that. Just that we are at more than just sit down meeting stage.
Here we go.

to be fair, the results are doing more than enough to unsettle the club, they need no help with that at all

Do you know more than you're letting on URG ?.....I am not convinced by this rumour one bit.

I know nothing at all on this and have no view if it is a good or crap rumour. All I said was if this is true then I would back the owners. I actually think we have very good honourable owners and think in the long term they will take City forward.
