Keith Curle and his agent was in the back of my cab one day. The agent starts to tell a story of the time he and Pointon drove up in Pointon's sports car to a surgeons practice to have an injury checked. They both went into the surgery leaving his car roof down. Coming out Pointed saw this scroat inside the the car, dragged him back out through the open roof and set about leathring him. The agent had to pull Pointon off him before he did some serouis damage to him. Hard as nails that lad.

Left back has always been a problem position for City. We’ve had decades of shite in that position between Donachie and Cancelo
Pointon was one of the best we’ve had in that position my lifetime. Great old school defender and 100% every game. Hard fucker and he deserves a statue for giving the human mole six studs in his spuds

I liked pointon. I guess he wasnt the most talented player in the world but absolutely nothing was left on the pitch. 100% every game
