Neil Warnock Trains With Pep & City Squad

I couldn’t stand Warnock as a manager, his teams played awful, physical and aggressive football which was matched by his own aggression on the sidelines.

Warnock when talking about football is compelling, measured, eloquent and thoughtful and clearly knows and loves the game. He’s almost the antithesis of his managerial persona.

That’s my take as well.

I’ll never forget or forgive that Cardiff side who went out of their way to just hack our players to pieces. Absolute shite anti football.

But as a person he comes across as you say - really thoughtful and quite a warm character.

It’s a true dichotomy.

Look at the teams he was hired to get out of trouble… and he invariably got them out out of it.

What else is he going to be renowned for.

Brother in law bought his house in Lydgate after he got sacked by Oldham. Said he was a really warm and friendly guy, the opposite of what he expected

Warnock has been very complimentary about Pep and the City sides.
He's entertaining when talking about his career, and seems unpretentious.
He's a brilliant manager in his own right, turning failing teams round and getting unfancied sides promoted.

Can't say I've been enamoured with the way his teams have behaved in attempting to get results, but his record speaks for itself when it comes to using the tools at his disposal.
