Nervous yet?

wigan have injuries and more important games to worry about

The world is watching

I'm experiencing very few nerves and usually I'm a wreck before big games. Maybe it's because I like Wigan so the possibility of losing to them isn't as awful as to a rival team. Or maybe, for the first time ever, I'm actually feeling confident we can do this without a Typical City moment (I even expected the worst going into the Stoke cup final).

I've been nervous or a few days now.

Although I am also excited about going to my first final, too.

Enjoy it bigtime fella..

I certainly I'll, Sam.

Win (hopefully) or lose, I am determined to savour the whole experience.

Are you going?

a semi final performance is required.

-- Fri May 10, 2013 5:56 pm --

This time last week I was expecting to watching in the pub. Call Saturday saying I had a 50/50 chance of a ticket but would not know to cop on Tuesday.

So off to the pub to pick up the ticket and have a bit of a warm up for tomorrow.

I found the 2011 final pretty unpleasant - we were huge favourites and, logically, I knew that anything other than a City win was pretty unlikely, but there was so much riding on it for us that the importance of it made it a horrendously nervy affair - bringing the trophy drought to an end was absolutely essential. And after all, Jones had that chance at 0-0 one on one with Hart which nearly went in (a Lescott f*ck-up if I recall correctly) so there was good reason for the nervousness...

Tomorrow feels much less stressful, simply because it isn't as important to the club. We're huge favourites, have a largely complete set of players to pick from, our fanbase will massively outnumber Wigan, and even if we lose it isn't a complete disaster. Every neutral will understandably be supporting Wigan but I'm actually looking forward to it.

Nope. And i wouldn't be too arsed if we get beat either. A good day out will be had.

Shirley you jest!

Not really Pam.

I wouldn't begrudge Wigan their prize if they did pull it off. It's the 'romance' thing that is the beauty of the competition and it would be a real 'Giant killing' (the fact that we are now the giants and not the killers is great though innit?)

And by way of avoiding any flack, my attitude will be totally different by about 2 tomorrow.
