why do AJ and Bellers never swap wings during a game. To me it was obvious that AJ was having no luck against Evra due to Evra's pace so why not let Bellers run at him and AJ go and face the c*nt on the other side? To me it just seemed obvious to give them a go on the other side.

Because we have little mobility in the centre of the pitch. So by playing wingers on the 'wrong wing' it means both wingers should come inside. Doing so crowds the middle of the pitch a little more and then if we lose the ball we at least have bodies in there capable of winning it back.

The alternative is to leave Barry and De Jong in the middle and let Johnson and Bellamy hog the touchline. Since De jong drops deep, it leaves Barry with 2 or 3 men to mark/play against.

So in a nutshell i think thats why he does it. In an ideal world, just as Johnson or Bellamy cut inside, the full back should overlap. Nedum didn't really do this, nor did Bridge (to any effect). To play this system you need two quality full backs. Bobby seems to have signed one already (Boateng)so maybe he'll go for an equally athletic left back.

im not saying do it permanently (as i like it to be honest when theyre both cutting inside) but yesterday neither were getting any joy playing where they were so i thought the pace of Bellers may be able to trouble Evra more than AJ and AJ's skill could have got him at the tashed c*nt at right back.

Exactly what I said a half time, AJ vs gary 'twat' neville (NEVER PUT CAPS AT THE START OF SCUMMERS NAMES, THEY'RE NOT PEOPLE LIKE YOU AND ME)

neville would've got ripped apart the donkey.
