The Boo was good but Samantha's next to the Plaza steps was our club of choice. Over-21s only, used to go from when we were 14 (1971). Two pints of Watneys Red barrel, standing by the dance floor, waiting for women to talk to us. Which rarely happened. Apart from the 23-year old married lady with whom I enjoyed a brief but educational relationship (that was when I was 16, so legal I guess!).
In almost 50 years since then I've not met anyone else who went to Sam's.
