Then again if (and I mean 'IF') City can legally suspend him without pay for breach of contract then perhaps the wages wouldn't count anyway !
Don't know whether they could do that - I suppose it all comes down to the wording in his contract.

The absence of a Club Statement from City suggests to me that the lawyers are looking into the situation right now.
