0% chance that the email is a rebuke to Marwood IMO.

The writer of the email was taking the piss out of Neds mums email, that is patently obvious to me.

Bating more like.

Are you a new moderator?

Here is the unpublished third paragraph in a tiny corner articleof the daily mail this morning

I seem quite certain this has been twisted and she has made the mistake on both the agent acting on their behalf and the terms. You've handled this very well.

Just to clarify, the article meant to say "Cook was jokingly chiding Marwood". He obviously wasn't seriously admonishing him, just taking the piss out of his colleague and the original email.

It will be a real shame if Cook has lied. I really hope not. He has done some great work at City and does connect with us fans..most of the time (his comments about Dunney left a nasty taste). Replacing him with someone as dynamic will be very difficult.

I do agree that the press should not be setting the agenda at City.

A preview of the Wigan game is on the blog now, with Paul from wiganer.net giving the opposition's view:

Well, yes. Which makes much more sense. Although it wasn't Marwood he was taking the piss out of. It was her choice of language to describe her health. Marwood was merely the person the piss take was being communicated to. The joke wasn't 'on him'.

Ian Wright should really keep those thoughts to himself. After all to write that in the sister paper to the News of the World which was hacking into the phones of all and sundry. It doses leave him open to some extent that someone may have given him information which he shouldn't have given him.

But surely you would need to see the conveniently omitted Email from Marwood to comment on that. The "You used to be nice" comment by "G" suggests Marwood has himself commented on Ned's Mam and "G" is responding to said comment. My view on this whole affair is a press vendetta instigated by Kia and wholly supported by your usual hacks which is down to a personal dislike of Cook. I think any "investigation" will more likely uncover disrespectful comments made by Marwood to Cook. Sure, they can be replaced, but I doubt it will be on the say so of the British Press.

Good read. Its obvious this is a bit of work email banter that has gone wrong. The amount of times I have seen leud, inappropriate comments cc to all and sundry it's untrue. Basically it's no where near as bad as the press have made out but the way it's been spun there really is only one outcome.

Shame he has done a good job I liked what he has done for the club. Hes a marketing not pr man at the end of the day moving him sideways and getting in a proper administrator to handle the day to day running of the club would be the best option.

Great Blog(s) Ric.

Suggestion, why don't you write about Dr Onuoha's miracle recovery from being ravaged by cancer. It appears that 11 months later, Dr Onuoha may not have been as ravaged as first described in the email. This is probably what the email composer was implying to Brian rather than (as mostly everyone has been made to believe), an insensitive piss take to those with cancer. If I was 'ravaged' with cancer I would be terminally ill, in a hospital bed and certainly not working to negotiate my son's dealings. Can we please focus on Dr Onuoha's exaggerated condition and focus less on the media's usual gaff and lack of compentency portrayal of Garry Cook. A man who may have seen through the comments and deemed them as a last ditch attempt to get a sympathy deal from City.

I think you might have hit on something there, and I can easily believe that Cook was commenting on something he may have received from Marwood, although Cook is the target of the 'poisoned pen-letter' and the way it's been presented (totally out of all context) it seems like he's a gonna - not necessarily for the lingo, but for the deceit - if indeed the hacking claim is totally bogus.

'OnuohaGate' - one gaff too far?

Now thats daft, as all the anti Cook posts on here prove.

Cook said he didn't send the email so your explanation is irrelevant.

Did he though? I'm not saying he didn't, but there are no quotes from Cook. It appeared in the Sun article and all other articles have followed suit.
