new bond

Yes, I avoided seeing any reviews on this and wanted to make up my own mind. I was disappointed from the point of view that the script was, indeed, very poor. I think I actually got bored with much of the action and wanted to know the plot development. Mmm... There was none.

This was 'Bond' at his most primitive, thuggish, thoughtless endeavour. And that's not what 'Bond' has EVER been about! His penchant for violence has always been a pardadox to his intellect.

Disappointing, but ,at least they maintained a(thin) running plot theme.

Agree with most of what has been said. The storyline/plot was so thin it should have gone to Anorexics Anonymous.

Having said that the action was good I enjoyed it, it was good but not great. DC is the best Bond since Connery and has made his "own" Bond rather than just trying to reprise what has gone before him.

I can only hope the next one keeps the action but develops the storyline/plot and Bonds darker character a lot more

Odd that some of the turning points in the film were implied or alluded to, rather than shown... Enjoyable nontheless.

Yes, I noted that this 'Bond' actually enjoys the 'death wish' side of his character and also the fact he's quite willing to take out his own side was surprising. What bothered me, was that the writers found this release of "Bond's" darker side, much more difficult to contain into a feasible storyline.

What 'Bond' needs, I feel, is a credible nemesis that can force him to temper what he does. It's unrealistic and unreasonable to think that this 'Bond' will suddenly become more thoughtful to others without utmost reason, in his next outing.

The Broccoli family have problems bringing the franchise back on track.

I was so disappointed by QoS. There was just absolutely no storyline to it, felt like a film of action scenes with a little bit of story between. There was nothing that you would remember from that film to make it unique! I always said that there might be a problem in making films that run on from each other and I think QoS has shown why - it has no identity and could easily have just been an extension to Casino Royale. Probably the best thing about it were the references to The Spy Who Loved Me!

I think the links to "Casino Royale" were almost an after thought after all the action pieces. It's almost as if they decided they have to have a continuation theme running, on orders, otherwise, "QoS" would've been very much a stand alone film.

From the biggest grossing 'Bond' film ever to this, is quite a fall.
