Its been leaked today but not on very reliable sites that Frank Rikjaard is set to take over next season. would normally take with a pinch of salt, but this would kind of fit in with the thread on mancini, when the guy says his source "doesn't know how city fans would take it" I'm not an ITK and like I said it's only on not very reliable sites, E.G the Transfer Tavern. But what would you make of it if it was true and he was appointed boss?

Already posted mate, the transfer taven is a bollocks site. They had a rumour on there the other week which was started on here.

I'd hardly be jumpin' through hoops if that appointment came off .....

but then again i was hardly excited when a guy named Brain Horton (who?) took over us either , yet his team played some of the best football i've even seen from a City side!

Rikjaards club , Galatasary , are currently third in the Turkish league.

It's not the first time I've heard Rickard's name in the last couple of weeks, but I'm pretty sure that story is a direct lift from here.

Don't worry about it.

If a story lke this breaks in the Arabian press, I'd look closely at it.

They've broken the two biggest ADUG stories yet.

Only Mourinho should be brought in.

If he isnt available then we should stick with Mancini, unless of course he decides to take up his option of the 6 month clause.

Rijkaard does nothing for me im afraid.

Yeah, it was arabianbusiness.com that broke the takeover wasn't it? Although having said that, i do vaguely remember a few bullshit articles attributed to them. There was one reporter of theirs in particular, whose name escapes me, that seemed to have it in for us. I'm sure he claimed that the Sheikh was going to pull out of City, about a year ago i think it was. Many City fans emailed him about the article, and got pure abuse and vitriol back in return. So i can't make my mind up about the arabian press. They have broken big news regarding Ciy, but have also plunged to lows that even The Sun hasn't reached yet!

wtf is transfer taven??

Transfer taven Is football web site that looks at forum's like Bluemoon all day and if a thread get over 50 pages they repeat it has there own story.

If it's any easier to dismiss.

I posted we had scouted 20 players in the Mancini thread yesterday.

I threw in this figure for a variety of reasons, plucked out the air all the same.

The fact this article also mentions the same figure, is proof positive that they piggy-backed on the Blue Moon thread and merely attempted to press the claims of the Rijkaard story.

Bullshit.

Agree. The only sensible reason I could see for changing the manager would be if Mourinho was available (and personally that has no guarantees).

Otherwise STICK!

Arabian Business did indeed broke the takeover story.

I think the journalist you are talking about is the ex-Mirror guy who got sacked along with Piers Morgan. Name escapes me.

A day or so before Hughes's sacking a paper over there reported it too.

Bluemoon's usual Flat Earth Society smugly proclaimed both stories as "bullshit" of course.

its time all this new manager shit was put to bed by the club, there is half an arguement for bringing jose in but other than that we should leave bob in place and start building something.

this HAS to come from our club though, not tribal and the like.

Frank Rikjaard is an absolute tosspot and not a good manager. WTF has he ever done? Yea he won a trophy or two with Barcelona but fuck me with those players even I could have managed to win a trophy.
