Shawcross would do me. I like Cahill but he looks small to be a CB, very good player though. Thing is with Shawcross is he has red-links, instantly making him shit and not-wanted in many eyes on here, (not mine), I have no doubt about that.

Don't United have a buy-out clause or whatever it's called giving them first refusal, so we can forget about Shawcross. We need Hangeland like I said nearly 12 months ago but bastard Fulham won again in the Europa Cup last night, so that doesn't look imminent either. There must be a decent team somewhere with a surplus of centre halves?

It's going to be Upson or Samba I think. Available at the right price and premier league experience, which Hughes wants.

Other possibilities are Subotic or Simon Kjær, Metzelder or Garay from Mardid. The first two are very highly rated and very tall youngsters who would cost us a pretty penny, Metzelder we all know and Garay I know little about but is supposedly decent and looking to move for some game time.

Also think that Toure will end up as CB/RB cover, if we hopefully get Lahm.
