Re: Extension for Cookie Monster
I like him.
He's a bit of a fuck up, and I can identify with him as a person because of it. I hate the super-oiled corporate types in charge of the big four, and I like the fact that we have a guy who isn't bothered about what the press print, and just tells it like he sees it.
It's funny how we lamented Hughes for never showing emotion about our club, but also lament Cooke for actually doing what we said all involved with the club should do.
He seems like a down to earth, decent bloke, who always has time for the fans and understands the soul of the club.
He has made some silly comments in the past, but hell, so has everyone. The difference between him and us, is that we don't live in a goldfish bowl where every word uttered is reported on, commented on by talking heads, and stewed over by fans forums.
I hope he stays around for a long time, he and City seem like a natural fit for each other. He's a working class lad, who tells it straight, and stays the same despite the tremendous wealth.
