We are now just a business....

Every business is a business otherwise it would be pointless operating as a business. But as the author is a Liverpoo supporter, what other comment do you expect?

The job role is not from a Liverpool supporter though, and the tweet was actually retweeted by the FSF as part of their standAMF campaign.

The wording of the job description is clearly designed to suggest the person who takes the role will be employed to simply make as much money from the fans as possible, particularly those abroad, and probably without any regard for the supporters at the games; this is summed up by having a kit launch at 5am BST, not exactly designed for the working man supporter in Manchester is it!!!

It hasn't been that way for years.

Which kit launch was at 5am or are you over egging the pudding?

Anyway, the way to make money isn't to pander solely to those with an M post code is it.

Don't people write their linkedin job descriptions themselves? So that could just be the job description the berk has wrote themselves in order to make them seem more important - a bit similar to how the most mundane job title now sounds important.

Like it or not City have been a business since they formed as a Limited Company in 1894. Under the current owners it's a quid pro quo, we get to watch the best players who are paid top dollar wages and win us trophies but in return we have to tolerate marketing strategies as outlined in that ad.

Nobody forces you to contribute to these strategies of course, personally I haven't bought a City top for 3 or 4 years, my spending direct to City is largely restricted to my S/card and a match programme.

Might sound harsh (and I'll probably get shit for this) but I don't mind if the the club milk the foreign fans for all they're worth. If it means I get to watch the best players in the world week in week out then I'm happy.
