New Kits 2018/19

Do you prefer rolled up newspapers down the socks as opposed shin pads also?
No, I played :) shinpads all the way!

My favourite City shirt was a training one I got with the sponsors on the sleeves and only the badge on the chest. Back in the Thomas Cook days. Went missing, if I ever find out who nicked it they'll be on crutches.

Not ashamed to say one of my favourite shirts is still my signed (now faded) Elano 07/08 home shirt.

Does it look like pajamas? Yes.

Do I care one bit? No.

I blame Mendy. He's the absolutely only explanation for that sleeve. It truly does make us look like "the shark team."

What the hell *was* that all about? I kept hearing about and seeing things about shark team at games and I thought I was tripping out. When have there been sharks in Manchester, or anywhere in England for that matter?

tbf barcas kit changes style all the time but keeps the core colurs and only changes to red shorts for a special reason

Most of the ones where it changes wildly having been under Nike. They have had them a lot longer than us so in a sense the Nike way of things has become part of the Barça way of things. Not pictured on here are all the more similar kits between years, and that was under other manufacturers, Kappa being one of em.

Adidas make bespoke kits for every team in the MLS and the A-League.

The rag's kit, whilst looking vile, is bespoke to them... and it's not like they haven't had black kits before.

Arsenal kit looks like an Arsenal kit. Haven't seen Dortmund's but if it's that similar, they have been done over, but AFC haven't.

We know Umbro does bespoke kits for every club, and smashing ones too. They are the Anti-Nike in every way.

When we look for a new deal after this season, we will have plenty of options that will put in more effort. Umbro definitely would. Puma probably would. Adidas might.

But with FFP out of the way now why don't we just say sod off to the big brands? Admiral, Avec, Macron, would all be better shouts than Nike, Adidas, or Puma. Haven't seen many Reeboks around these days...

Reebok is owned by Adidas now. Do they even still do kits? I would still like to see us link up with Under Armour.

The away kit is the best one that Nike have done for us.

Really like it.

Only gripe is I couldn't find it in long sleeves on the website.

I'm thinking they probably don't anymore. Maybe in some remote league. Weird. Under Armour have calmed down since they started so wouldn't be a terrible option. Their first few kits I'm sure were the result of LSD.

Nike has seemingly stopped producing long-sleeves versions of shirts altogether (keeper shirts, excepted).

I suppose the logic behind it is that they have long-sleeve thermal layers available and, if it is cold enough for long-sleeves, it’s likely cold enough for the full layer under the shirt, so why make another version of the shirt few supporters purchase.

I have a few long-sleeve shirts from over the years, though, as I just liked the way they fit.
