I'm liking the away kit but as I said before it will be maroon like 90% sure of that otherwise the new home kit would not have maroon in it. So imaging the away kit in maroon rather than midnight blue it still looks good.

Luckily I did a maroon version too..

fuckin horrible, the away kit doesn't look as bad but the home kit is hangin.......i do hope all the rumour of maroon bits on the home shirt are bollocks coz if ever 2 colours didn't go together then it's maroon and fuckin sky blue.

Sure our kits between early 60's to early 70's had maroon on the socks. Think the maroon goes ok.

i don't ever remember a home shirt with maroon on though do you? i remember a late 80's/early 90's away shirt which was maroon with a tiny bit of blue on the arm. just don't think city blue and maroon go together on a shirt....only my opinion lookin at some of the designs on ere. they might bring it out and it looks class we'll have to wait and see.

i think we should stay a place in world football by signing a deal with Nike or Adidas,then we can start the season with flair coz we need a new brand for city which i think will leave up to expectation for us the fans.

Huh?! UMBRO is owned by Nike and is a MANCHESTER brand with FAR REACHING historical roots with City. Last seasons kit was EXCELLENT, so hang about for the new ones!

I think the boys who think a sky blue, with white trim, England/Rangers style shirt is the new home kit are probably spot on, although there might be a twist with the new badge and (it seems?!) a touch of maroon for old times' sake.

The away kit seems a bit up for grabs at the moment, though I would prefer the broad red and black striped version that has been on here. A short V neck and it would be magic, tying in all three shirts to OUR HERITAGE.

A friend at umbro has told me the 2010/11 away shirt WILL be primarilymaroon, to be precise it'll be marketed as "zinfandel".

Apparently all the blues working at umbro want the red and black striped shirt for the 2011/12 away shirt, and it's looking promising. However, Umbro want to get it "just right" if not "perfect". By that I expect them to mean really retro, with absolutely no unnecessary trims, stitching or piping etc. And i get the impression they might be tring to get the rights to the old badge back for use on the 2011/12 kits.

I have no reason to think this years kits will be anything less than last years phenomonal offerings. I have my trust well and truely WITH umbro.

The sash kit goes well with Embassy no.1 fags if you're a smoker:)
