I’ve got The Autumn Defense in my top 10. Never heard of them before this year, but it popped up on Spotify a while ago, and that is a very good album.

Just spent a couple of mins failing to reply to this in the Album of the year thread :-)

Just chucked the album on, a bit jazzier and arguably a bit more organic than Battles but you can definitely hear the similarities. First impression very favourable.

Paz Lenchantin has her debut solo album out, entitled Triste. May recognise her as being the bassist who took over from Kim Deal in the Pixies.
