Their stuff is shit quality and badly designed.

Keep Umbro or get adidas in.

Nike own Umbro and are phasing out the Umbro Brand
Thats why our kits will be Nike from now on

Nike dont own Umbro anymore they sold the brand but kept their assets us england etc

Adidas would sell more (more quality and more fashionable) .... but Nike would bring in more money cos they cost £5 to make and sell at £40-£50. Plus Nike are virtually everywhere, to spread the City brand globally, makes sense for the club to go with them.

Yes it does make complete sense if you wanna maximise profit over value, quality and what the fans want.
The idea that as long as the club make a mint by flogging bucketloads of sub-standard shite is the beginning of the end.

Don't be naive, fans will buy anyway, if people are buying that rag shit from this season they'll buy anything under the sun. Money is only that matters here.

Not naive msp, just hoping for a bit better from our club. I know they wanna shift as many shirts as possible like united did/do but that doesn't mean they have to be shit as well.

if it's another step to progress it's what i want and i'm a fan.

We were discussing the change of manufacturer the other day and wondering why no major fashion house has ever entered the market. What is stopping our kit manufacturer being Hugo Boss or Armani? You wouldn't just get City fans buying them then and could be huge worldwide exposure for us. It wouldn't just be the kits that would be big sellers but also all of the leisure wear etc.

obviously don't see it as a viable market with the monopoly of Nike and Adidas.

You can just see some stick thin model walking down the catwalk in Milan wearing an Armani City shirt, shorts and socks.
