New Season, New Era - Plea to All City Fans

Good Afternoon all, well we have all been waiting for this, we now have a squad and setup to be proud of, so please if we lose a couple of games lets not get on the players backs and start the whingeing on here.

There are going to be enough fans of other clubs and the media dying for us to slip up and have a laugh at us, so i beg lets stand tall and sing loud and let them know that whilst it may not be this season it wont be long before City start to win trophies again.

We ALL need to stick together on this as there will no doubt be setbacks, but I feel if we stick together they will be few and far between.

Personally I think starting tomorrow the atmosphere amongst City fans is going to change, I fully expect "Hamburgesque" type crowds certainly away from home and hopefully this will rub off on the home fans (are you listening North Stand ;))

Anyway lets stay positive and hopefully will bump into a few of you guys tomorrow singing loud and proud with 40 of us from the Blues in Bandit Country Supporters Club

We need to manage our expectations...There will be bad results/displays and BIG disappointments this season no doubt..Don't let frustrations and eagerness to the top of the tree get in the way of a good ride in the inside lane doing a steady 56 and getting there eventually ;0)

rowsley st,we are city we will never sit in the inside lane chugging,we are the ones weaving in an out everyone else,hitting the accelerator,then standing on the brakes,causing all the others to look around an say "what the f**K was that?".

Nice sentiments, mate, but there are as yet undiscovered tribes in the Amazonian rainforests who know that this is exactly what will happen if we lose a game or two.

Couldn't agree more. It's going to take time for all the players to know each others games etc, and when you see passes going astray or a run that isn't there or a missed chance u think he should have scored its time to give encouragement not criticism. The team WILL do well in time to come, but there will no doubt be teething troubles in the beginning.

I think the players MH has brought in are hard working players as well as very good, very experienced Premier League players so it's not as though they don't know what to expect. I think that's what people forget sometimes.

Can't make tomorrow owing to a broadcasting committment but will be there in spirit..

I wanted to say that if we do break the top 4, can we be different (better?) than their fans, who think its god's given right that they beat all the other teams

Think that most reasoned and insightful fans realise that it could be the start of great things but that we need to have some time.....................however if the result doesn't go our way tomorrow expect a deluge of "Hughes Out" "Players are sh!t" threads to be on here from 16:50 onwards.

Personally I cant wait, off out tonight for a large bucket of ale, so tomorrow will eb a hangover on the couch with Sky Sports Saturday.......I cant wait
