New Season Seat Shockingly Bad

There are an increasing number of fans from overseas for whom a visit to the Etihad is an “event”, rather like going to a Rolling Stones gig without actually liking their music much would be an “event”. Oh, they go into the shop and get the shirt, I'm sure they do. That too is part of the “event”. It's all very good for the coffers.
They are not supporters as you and I would understand the term. Sorry, but they're just not. By the way, I've met a number of them on flights going over for matches. Nice enough people, of course. Met a couple of Canadians at the Arsenal match two years ago, going back down to London on the train. Nice lads. On a package. One was an Arsenal “fan”, the other a City “fan”. We met up the next day, had coffee. We didn't talk football much, to be honest. There wasn't really a lot to talk about in that line. I've been to Canada several times, both east and west, and it's a country I appreciate quite strongly. Mainly talked about that.
If this is the general way it's going, I'm out. A sprinkling, here and there in the stadium, sure, why not? As I say, I understand that there is a business side to running MCFC. But there is a critical mass, beyond which I would feel thoroughly alienated in that stadium. It would no longer be being with my tribe, as it has been for more than fifty years.
As I say, nothing personal.
Top reply mate :)

Nothing personal with me either but I felt like an outsider with no one I could relate to around me.

The old fella who used to sit next to me (for years) was a proper blue and we always had a top chat at half time. Gutted when he wasn’t there on Saturday.

I made a comment in the post match that near me in 324 the usual fella next to me has gone and I was literally surrounded by about 30 Middle Eastern and American “fans”. Most couldn’t speak English and the American woman sat in front of me was watching a film on her iPad the whole time.

Game’s gone.
Jesus don’t put that in the politics thread you’ll be called a racist and the WhatsApp group will jump on you

Try a Champions League match, or an early round Carabao or FA Cup game where whole blocks of tickets are sold on by 3rd party ticket suppliers. A couple of years ago I remember when Port Vale came up and I felt like an away fan in EL3, same as when Celtic swamped the Etihad or the Real Semi when the ground was full of tourists. Stewards did absolutely FA on any of those occasions.

If someone dosent like it Anyone able to give 1 adult and child season ticket then pls?
