New possible song to this tune.???

We are man city were from maine road,
Played there a long time ago,

Now we have a new revival,

It came from sheik mansour,

And were back today to we that we belong and now we're gonna dominate again

Cos we are man city, we are world class with the likes of silva, aguero and navas[flash=][/flash]

Nice attempt, but I think it needs some refinement.

We should think about two things with any effort to adapt this great song:

1. It simply HAS to be sung slowly; otherwise, it will be a non-event.

2. Why not try to follow the original idea, and dedicate it to our biggest rivals (obviously NOT the rags)?

I would start it off something like this:

Scousers, tell us what you were thinking
When you told us you were gonna win the league?

The last line has to be something like:

'Cos Silva is much better than Gerrard!

Then back to the beginning. I'll leave you song-writers to fill in the other lines.

As it's based on the bad moon rising tune and we need two verses.

What about

I see a blue-moon rising
I see a title on the waaaay

Then yours.

Scousers tell us what you were thinking
When you told us that you would win the league.

Then

Then Gerrard gave it Ba
And the title was ours.

Then just need a good last line.

Stumped on that.

From another site....... Heres the lyrics in English

The lyrics of the song in English are sort of not structured (you can blame Google Translate for that), but here they are in a way or another:

Brazil, tell me how it feels

Having your Daddy here at home

I swear after all these years

We are never going to forget

That Diego slipped it by

To Cani who banged it home

You have been crying since Italy

Messi with no doubt

Will bring the Cup to us

Maradona is greater than Pele!

'Brazil, tell me how it feels
To be bossed around in your own home
I swear that even if years pass
We will never forget
That Diego out-skilled you
That Cani surprised you
You are crying since Italy until today
You are going to see Messi
The World Cup will be ours
Maradona is greater than Pele'

Brasil, decime qué se siente - I see a Bad moon arrising

That song the Argentinian fan's sing "Brasil, decime qué se siente"
To the Credences Clearwater Revival song "Bad Moon Rising"...

Brasil, decime qué se siente (Brazil, tell me how it feels)
tener en casa a tu papá… (Having your Daddy here at home)
Te juro que aunque pasen los años (I swear after all these years)
nunca nos vamos a olvidar… (We are never going to forget)
Que el Diego te gambeteó (That Diego slipped it by)
que Cani te vacunó (To Cani who banged it home)
que estás llorando desde Italia hasta hoy (You have been crying since Italy)
A Messi lo vas a ver (Messi with no doubt)
la Copa nos va a traer (Will bring the Cup to us)
Maradona es más grande que Pelé… (Maradona is greater than Pele!)

Good tune - a repeater that can go on and on - we just need appropriate words to dis the rags.. Though words that don't make Fernandinho and possibly Fernando Regas feel too bad,..
Can't understand why we haven't done it before to be honest

I see a bad moon arising...
I see trouble on the way
I see earthquakes and lightning
I see bad times today..
Don't come round tonight
It's bound to take your life
There's a bad moon on the rise.

Well the first and last lines shouldn't be so tough but what about the rest?:

I see a Blue moon arising...
I see .....
I see ...
I see...
,,,,,,
....
There's a blue moon on the rise.

Come on you song-smiths fill in the blanks and develop the song...

(To Mods: apologies for not adding to the existing thread - it wasn't on page 1)

First quick attempt

I see a BLUE MOON arising!
I see more trophies on the way!
I see Vinnie and Silva,
I see a good time today!
Don't come round to fight,
Cos Agueros' bound to strike.
There's a BLUE MOON on the rise!!!

Great song

But United have 2 to Bad Moon Rising, it's pretty synonymous with them
Haven't heard it to be honest. Plus their favourite song at the minute is the same as our Istanbul chant so they can fuck off!
