New team soon, stop worrying.

we can sign a new starting 11 - all world class and could still be in the drop zone.
Its about making them WIN.

New team does not = success/wins.

Not that simple.

Bojinov, Petrov and Johnson were not brought in by Hughes - I assume that means they won't perform for him either then?

Read again before diving inn, I've not said that at all.

Petrov was on fire, Johnson was playing well as was Bojinov, so yes they would perform for him and they know they are good enough to stay aswell.

You said the previous squad was shite and won't perform for Hughes, except Ireland. I guess it's just a conicidence that the 3 long-term injuries will all be superstars for him when (if) they get fit then?
Just seems to be a bit of a selective prophecy to support your argument, that's all. Plus you are able to read their minds too.

i agree, he will sort it.

look at his record at blackburn and you will see he is a good manager who buys good players and gets good results. so far at city he has bought good players with the right attitude. players like kompany and zaba have settled well, get stuck in and are good footballers

he is also responsible for swp coming home.

ben haim is a flop.

bridge seems like an excellant buy in a position we desperatly need someone.

some younger players are getting stick and suffering a lack in form and confidence but before everyone decides to ship them out i remember lots of people slagging ireland off for being inconsistent. they are young players and need time to develop, unfortunatly they are all we have as there is no depth (again he hasnt had a chance to address this)

Since when has a legitimate defence of a manager getting crap results been "its ok lads, I'm sure he will get us out of a relegation zone if he is allowed to spend £100m on a new team"?

If he needs to spend the biggest amount of money ever seen in football, or if he needs to get virtually a complete new team before he can do anything other that produce terrible results then that makes him a terrible manager - by whatever standards you use.

YOu can talk about Moyes and O'Neil as much as you like but the things they didn't do are take the squad they inherited backwards into a relgation battle, spend £150m in thier first season or tell everyone that they can only produce results when they have got rid of 3/4 of the players at the club. They didn't do this because they know the mark of a good manager is to get the best out of what they are working with, whilst seeking to bring in better resources over time.

Your excuses for Hughes are nothing but a condemnation of him for anyone other than the cliched and the blind.

Can't judge Bojinov,Petrov and Johnson, as the have been out from just after start of season but started great which is ashame. The 3 of them are class act's and badley missed

Stop being picky mate you know what I mean, and you know we have missed these 3 alot. They'd be alot better than Vass,Benji and Fernades put it that way.

Exactly - if we were playing good football, holding good shape and looking overall fairly strong and in this position then you could mount a legitimate argument for it being about personell. But we are not even close to any of this, i resisted posting after Hull, and in part didnt want to look, were papering over some very big cracks.

you dont get what i am trying to say.

hughes would still get new players in this window even if we didnt have as much money as we do. he would do what he did at blackburn and get players that are actually good. players like santa cruz and benni mccartney are players that would get in our team. warnock and bentley would have walked into our team last year.

changing a manager after 6 months gets you nowhere. imagine what bridge, swp, zabaleta, kompany would think?

i agree he should not have to buy a whole new team but if you think we could get anywhere near top 6 with the side from last yeat you are crazy. our squad is poor and had been exposed a long time ago.

How about getting out of a relegation battle?

You are spouting cliches with nothing to back them up other than the ludicrous assertion that Hughes is such a poor manager that he can only get results if he is allowed to change the majority of the squad.

You know for a fact that this squad, player for player is better than at least half the league. You also know for a fact that if you had been shown these results at the start of the season you would have considered it impossible that Hughes could lead them to such pathetic results.

The buck stops with the manager and no manager in history at any club has been crap enough to suggest that they can only get results with players that they have personally bought
