Look like a team that's going down to me. They have the Sunderand Derby this weekend - they must win it.

Poor travelling support. Less than 2k. A thousand empty seats to their right, and the top tier was not full. Very quiet. In the circumstances you can understand why. We've been in their shoes for most of the last 30 years only we've not known the good times (Champions League football, FA Cup Finals, Runners up, Gazza, Waddle, Beardsley and Shearer)

Well organised, and defended well, but utterly clueless going forward. No self-belief, and City hunted them down every time they had the ball, and they just couldn't keep it and establish any kind of rhythmn.

They need a fit Martins and Viduka to rescue them.

Thought Barton was outstanding last night, but if he has a metatarsal injury, then that could be a nail in the coffin for them.

They've got some good players (duff, Geremi), but they're just trying to eke out points instead of going for games.

Think they'll go down because all the teams down there at the bottom just look capable of winning games at home. They need to sell Given, and use the cash well

2k still a decent effort

we took 1300 there

they are looking down the barrel on Sunday

I wouldn't say barton played outstanding. Looked distinctly average, as did the majority of their players. They were there for the taking.

Agree that they do look like City a few years ago when Keegan/Pearce were in charge and nothing was going right, couldn't score etc.

Outstanding maybe tto strong, but at least he had a go, and he played some good passes.

Never hides - a lot of their players did.
