Hard to tell exactly but Pep didn’t look too happy after going to shake hands with Howe - looked like a few words were exchanged.

I hope it was because Pep was telling him what he thought about Newcastle’s approach to the game today.

Rode our luck at times for sure and they missed 2 or 3 chances which we would have been livid about missing. One of our better team performances though, at 2-0 we killed the game off keeping the ball.

We scored two and missed as many good chances as they did.

These 12.30s are always difficult for the home team - especially after 5 consecutive away games - so I'm happy enough with our levels today and CIty got a vital win against a tough, physical team.
Wondering if there is a single broadcaster out there who doesn't have biased commentaries against us ?

Wonder no more. The answer is no. BT are horrific though, in my mind they are by far the worst offenders.

A really good win that. I’m not sure if we rode our luck a little bit or I just get very jumpy watching us when we’re only one nil up or even two nil up with 20 minutes to go! I loved the shithousery by the corner flag when time was nearly up. Brilliant! a good substitution by pep as Kev really wasn’t at the races today and then Bernardo goes and scores, stupendou! And I think we can also say Phil is back. Congrats to Eddie finally getting his 100th clean sheet after just 208 games.

Excellent result and well deserved. Not at our best but don’t mind a solid performance in what was a tricky game to negotiate.

Interesting again to watch a team up their shithousery levels to 11 when they play us, some very snide challenges going in, the wankers.

Nice week off now, time to get some Pep magic done on the training pitch.

Wrapt with those three points, and for my mate who travelled over from Australia for the game.

Vital three points, Newcastle are a shithouse side, they gave us the game I was expecting but our quality when it mattered out did them. Glad they got nothing out of the game with the way they went about it.

Now a full week off before Palace, that's unusual for us but hopefully Kev rediscovers his touch as that's the worse I've seen him play in some time.

Foden being back to his best is a title race changer for me.
