Please not Ake, still having nightmares about the 4-3 last season when Newcastle ran him ragged.
Different player to last season. No comparison.

I agree, get him runnning at the defence like he did last night and he'll cause havoc.Time to release the handbrake on Grealish.
If ever there was a time to empower him, it is Sunday and the remaining games.
You never know, he might just prove to be the difference in winning us the league, as others are clearly running on empty.
Agreed, the team is going to have to dig deep, Pep will be on overtime patching up morale. I have a bad feeling about all 4 remaining games for us.The extra day off is a Godsend this week. I hope the players get to put their feet up and come back refreshed enough to lick their wounds and get on with it.
We are at the very pointy end of the season and, in other competitions, we have been found wanting. Finishing this season with NOTHING doesn’t bear thinking about. Finishing it with nothing and watch an inferior team win EVERYTHING would be torture…almost too much to bear.
Too many leaders in the dressing room for the latter IMO. Spanking for the barcodes i reckonSunday either ends with us battering Newcastle by 4+ or with a painful defeat. There's no inbetween imo
Problem being that its all well and good while a team like madrid are actually playing the game of football and attacking...most teams in the PL simply do not. He will never get that kind fo space unless we change our style somewhat. I wont hold my breath on that one.I agree, get him runnning at the defence like he did last night and he'll cause havoc.
He was unlucky on two occasions and on another day could've sealed it for us.
The best example I’ve seen of him do that was the Leeds home game. He was like a different player that night; direct runs towards goal, plenty of menacing shots and a genuine threat he hasn’t often shown for us.Time to release the handbrake on Grealish.

I said it earlier, but i think the wide players will get the space next season, when they're crossing the ball for Haaland (hopefully)Problem being that its all well and good while a team like madrid are actually playing the game of football and attacking...most teams in the PL simply do not. Yes it will be unacceptable if we throw the league away having been so far ahead. Anybody who feels it would be acceptable I would be suspicious of tbh."unacceptable "?
ffs
I feel like the team will rebound, as they did from the loss to Liverpool at Wembley. They know they have one job to do now or the entire season has been for nought.Agreed, the team is going to have to dig deep, Pep will be on overtime patching up morale.
