Newcastle Have Done What City Should Be Doing

Don't forget the buy one get one free half season tickets they were doing fairly recently, absolutely shite fans

I remember when 1894 were campaigning for cheaper away tickets and joined up with Newcastle fans for a display on the Nexen bridge.

I was speaking with some 'Toon' fans and mentioned that we travelled (at the time) from Norfolk, and had done for many years. This dopey bird turned round, scowled at me and said "why don't you support your local team?". I told her that I was from Manchester and had been watching City for nearly 60 years from wherever I lived. She said that I should support Norwich...

They're all as thick as pigshit.

We were at St James's Park many years ago and I asked a copper why the Newcastle fans chanted "Toon" when that wasn't their name. The copper looked across at the Gallowgate and said... "because they're all fucking thick lad"

Case closed.

I'm thinking the only way they have got 45 seats together is through Newcastle ,my guess is with big demand Newcastle will have called them back as it's not a good look selling to a Scottish school when locals carnt get a sniff.City do exactly the same selling to Scottish schools .
On the odd occasion I've gone by car for big games there are always 2 or 3 coach loads of kids travelling from Edinburgh to Etihad.
Salverston or Tynecastle boys clubs primarily

A lot off fans from Scotland sit above me. Good work from City. The rags and the dippers have got Ireland sewn up in the most part. My last flew to Porto from Edinburgh and it was a combination of cocaine fueled scallies and some civilised Scots!

They haven't got many brain cells and never meet anyone who supports anybody else.

City have done some heavy outreach in Scotland for many years, even pre takeover. Met some lads from Aberdeen in their 30s on post match tram a couple of years ago, and said they’d been coming since their school team got a trip when they were kids, So it works
As you say, Ireland is mainly redshirt central

Am i missing something?

It Seems a strange story to me, 45 tickets sold to one school, presumably all together. It would take a lot of fan organisation to get 45 seats next to each other all resold via individual season ticket holders.
Perfectly natural that 45 fans randomly sat together decided to sell their tickets to their clubs biggest match in years ,yeah right
Come on Newcastle tell the truth ,you have been rumbled and didn't want the fall out.
How would 45 randoms actually contact each other to organise it FFS ?

The articles state Newcastle don't have an official ticket touting partner.

Why would Newcastle sell tickets to GB Sports Tours, who's website has suddenly shut down?

Newcastle would sell their tickets to one of the big ticket touting partners, like many of the other PL clubs do, including City.

And Newcastle certainly aren't going to sell those tickets to a coach load of kids from Dundee.

Oh so you believe 45 randoms have done it off their own back ?

I don't believe anything as I don't have the facts about how the School got the tickets.

Why would Newcastle cancel season tickets of the ticket sellers if Newcastle sold the tickets to the school? Are Newcastle lying and making that up as well?

Once again, Newcastle don't have an official ticket touting partner, so why would they sell 45 random tickets to a school in Dundee. Why wouldn't Newcastle sell 45 tickets to a school in Newcastle? Or just sell the tickets to their fans, which they have done.

We could go on arguing this forever. At the end of the day Newcastle CANCELLED the tickets and sold them to their fans. For doing that they deserve credit.

What would of happened to our tickets if City were playing Barcelona at the Etihad? There would be Barcelona fans all over the Etihad just like there were with Real Madrid fans.

You can get tickets for all our games with some £149 for hotel and ticket. Hotel is the Holiday Inn Express at the airport though so not that great but price wise it’s ok. That’s with one of our “partners”
Hotel prices can be daunting .The last home match of last season (Bournemouth) hotel prices were astronomical. Springsteen and Kylie Minogue were in town the same night.
After the KDB tribute and a few pints, I went straight to the airport and got an early flight home. Full of rags heading off to play Bilbao ( i think)

I can see supporters/ tourists who may only attend once or twice a season to find these packages attractive. You don't have to pay the £35 annual fee either.

It's a no brainer. They will have a club in Scotland and us.

I'll leave it at this rather than arguing if Newcastle sold the tickets directly to the ticket touting website or not.

A spokesman for the school said: "This afternoon we were informed by the approved provider that the tickets have been cancelled."

He said the school purchased the tickets in good faith after being "approached".

But it is understood that the tickets came from unauthorised reselling by fans who have now had their season tickets cancelled.

No argument mate ,I don't see logistically how 45 strangers have decided to sell their tickets ,wouldn't surprise me in the least if this firm is tied in with Newcastle historically when they were shit and needed to shift tickets.like we do for our champions league games .

But the point is its obviously not random tickets.
Anyway it's a shame that poor deprived kids from Scumdee aren't getting a once in a lifetime trip

The trip included an overnight stay in a hotel.

Newcastle United aren't mention in the notice.
If the tickets were officially from Newcastle United, that would have presumably been mentioned in the notice, informing the parents?

They said: “Newcastle United has cancelled a number of tickets for the UEFA Champions League match with FC Barcelona due to a breach of season ticket terms and conditions.

“The relevant season tickets have also been cancelled with immediate effect and without refund.

Another idea along with tickets, City should be doing what West Ham are doing, they have banned half n half scarves in there ground, anyone who turns up with one gets it confiscated,
come on City get it done.
The outside the ground sellers sell them.
No idea how you stop them.
