Newcastle Have Done What City Should Be Doing

Am i missing something?

It Seems a strange story to me, 45 tickets sold to one school, presumably all together. It would take a lot of fan organisation to get 45 seats next to each other all resold via individual season ticket holders.

So looks like the actual story is that after 10 years the club have finally identified a tour operator has 100 season tickets at the club. Now that this has been identified these tickets have been cancelled and in the future will be sold directly to fans via the club.

Seems strange the story wasn't reported along theses lines at the outset, as from a fan perspective this is a really positive story (other than the fact its taken 10 years to identify), rather than the initial headlines which insinuated that genuine fans had resold their tickets for profit.

The initial story makes sense as the 45 tickets appeared to come from from season ticket holders. The club failed to realise these season tickets were owned by a touting agency. - Whether they were held in a company name or individual names is unknown.
A report published five or six years ago claimed similar things are happening at all PL clubs with several thousand STs being owned by touting agencies at each club. This may have been extrapolated from a small data set so might not be accurate but it's likely to be a higher number than many expect, particularly at clubs where the demand remains high even in poor seasons.
It's screwing the genuine fans but is it any worse than having nine official touting agencies as we have at City?
