I've missed St James Park this year.

They deserve to be back in the prem. I for one, can't wait to return next season on a good piss up.

yes they do,newcastle up hull down that can only be good for prem football, wba next up they get decent crowds and burnley down

I'm pleased for them, rather have them than Bolton, Blackburn (only because of fat sam) Hull, Wigan etc. I saw an interview with some Newcastle fans though and one of them was saying something like ''yeah its great we'll be back, and we can push for europe next season'' I felt like those facepalm pics people put on here, that was what got them in trouble in the first place, thinking they are better than they are. If they think even with some new signings they'll be able to compete with us, villa, spurs, liverpool etc than they're crazy. If they get mid table next season they'll have had a very good season.

On another note it means Joey Barton is back in the prem.....

sounds like something city fans said back when we came from division 2 to the prem in two seasons
i distinctly remember some believing we would be aiming for europe, dare to dream i guess

Yeah, true and suppose it's inevitable some people get giddy. Its just with the way that club has been/is run you'd like to think they'd be a bit more realistic having spent a season where they have.

ipswich hadn't just scraped through div 2 with win in the play-off final!

I was talking to some Newcastle fans and they are pretty realistic about next season. Most of them think they will be lucky to make top ten.

You have got to love them for their eternal optimism, wait till the window is open again, go on any of there forums and you will see topics like Cheeky bid for Tevez, still glad to see them come back up, but I have a feeling they may be go back down again, they just have not got the money to invest.

More interesting it's who will come up with them, West Brom again which is annoying, would like to see Forest back up myself, although Blackpool would be good for me as I could get to an away match

Why do they deserve to be in the premier league?
yeah they have done really well in the championship but they have been given so much support from Sky.

They've been on TV more times than most premier league league sides. So unlike most Championship sides they have been given somewhere in the region of 29million pounds worth of TV rights! This has given such a harsh disadvantage.

Teams like Leicester, West brom and Forest deserve to be in the prem more..

But i understand your excitement of wanting an away day in Newcastle

I'm glad Newcastle are back, they belong in the prem. Hope WBA come up as well.
As for the sheep shaggers, hopefully they will be enjoying another season in Div 2.

i despise them, horrible fans and people. thinking they're the best fans because there's only one team within about 40 miles, get real newcastle, you only used to get 20,000 as it was. can't see balls all at their place either. good night though :)
