Not the best performance, far to profligate in front of goal. But a deserved win nonetheless.

Otamendi MOTM, imperious as ever.
 
Thought we played very well first half, creating lots of chances but were quite poor 2nd half with no real structure to our play.

Still we hit the post 3 times and wasted some other good chances which resulted in a nervy last few minutes. Very happy with the win though and throughly deserved on the balance of play.

Not at our best up front but even shearer admits
Man City absolutely deserved it - they should have been 2-0 or 3-0 ahead at half-time.

Slowly Newcastle edged themselves back into the game - I was surprised Rafa did not try to go for it with 20 minutes to go.

They did give themselves a chance at the end but Man City did enough.

On they march again.
 
Job done despite looking tired. They are absolute superstars week in week out and they got over that line tonight
 
We need David Silva back and we need to play Same and Sterling wide.
Kun Jesus and Walker all had a mare.
The runs continues but we cannot afford to play like this too often.
 
What a strange performance from Newcastle. It's like they were happy losing 1-0. I would have been so pissed off if I were a geordie fan watching that. In fact I would have pissed off after 70 mins.

The parking the bus doesn't work because we could and should have been 3/4 nil up at half time.

Some good performances KDB great pass for the goal, great goal by Sterling. Aguero was making chances and space everywhere but obviously his finishing wasn't great.

Walker was a bit sloppy tonight.
 
Worst performance of the season so far for me. Newcastle’s tactics didn’t help us tbf. If we play like that against Liverpool, they’ll beat us.

Pretty much, but Newcastle deserved less than 0 points.
 
15 points clear, one game closer to the end of the season and another clean sheet.

The experience of tonight will be good for us, Pep will use this to show how we need to still improve.

Special mentions for Otto, Sterling and Mangala.
 
Why are people saying we won ugly we fucking played them off the pitch only the finishing let us down that should of easily been a 4-0 game and people would of said we deserved a scoreline like that newcastle were not interested
