Newcastle post match thread

Most important win of the season for me today. My grandad died this morning, a big blue from Ardwick who brought me up well.

Played City knew you wudnt let us down..

Precisely.

Liverpool won't play like this against us, for the simple reason they can't.

Newcastle! What can you say? For seventy odd minutes that was the most tedious, soul destroying performance from a professional football team I've seen in a very, very long time.

Imagine being a geordie ST holder watching that shite. Worst than us under Pearce. City fans wouldn't put up with that crap even in our darker days. We may have lost a lot of games but the team would have been slaughtered playing like that.

still dont think de bruyne is quite right after his illness and yet he put a magnificent ball on a plate for raheem and was unlucky not to score when he smashed the post. great 3 points!

What do Liverpool and WBA have in common ?. - 15 points - 'Pool are that far behind us.

Edit : This is rubbish - please ignore
'Pool are 20 points behind.

We've had teams park the bus, but that was ridiculous, Newcastle had no intention of attacking in the first half and we created chance after chance were previously we couldn't break through. We created plenty of chances. The post twice, a couple of good saves and some poor finishing the only reason we didn't win by a greater score, it's 3 points - 15 points ahead and +22 goal difference is frankly amazing at this point of the season.

Unfortunate that Kompany went off injured, but full confidence in Oti and Mangala and Stones will be back soon. On to Palace with hopefully Delph and Spanish Dave back on Sunday for win 19

Great Win at a tough ground, should have been out of sight by half time and the players looked knackered post 70 minutes. Kompany's done and we need another CB quick! 18 and counting!!
