I actually like Cancelo a lot but I'm not sure we'd go looking for 28 year old players. We will probably go for younger players like we have apart from Trippier and Burn when we were simply desperate to get any player though the door.

Agreed, I think we'll make some good progress over the Summer. Howe has already said today that we need two teams of 11 for next season.
I've seen some people on here say that Newcastle doing well proves that the league is not very good. People need to remember where we've come from and where we are compared to Man City after 18 months. We're making huge progress but we're coming from a poor position throughout the club as we've been poorly run for almost 1 1/2 decades so we were never going to challenge too soon.
I hoped for top 10 this season without ever getting involved at the bottom and we've smashed that. I would have had people certified at the beginning of the season if they'd suggested that we'd be third top with two games of the season left and within one win of qualifying for the Champions League.
Whatever anybody thinks, this season has been incredible for us. A cup final and a potential CL qualification is bordering on insanity for us. If we can qualify for any European competition next season then we've had another good one because of the extra games we'll have to play.
We've probably qualified for the CL today, one clean sheet in our two remaining games guarantees that we've done it, but I think we'll do it even if we don't win another game because I don't think we'll get beaten by enough goals or Liverpool getting enough against Southampton who I hope have a little pride to play for.
Having said all that, I can't see us losing to Leicester on Monday, even with all of the injuries we have. Get the first goal and it will most likely be game over.

The good thing is that we only need a draw and I can't see Leicester getting anything. I've watched them and they just throw the towel in when things go against them. The worst thing they could do tomorrow is try to attack us because I think we could rip them apart and could easily do to them what we did to Spurs.
Our injuries are clearing up and we might only be down Willock from the Brighton game. Hopefully Howe starts with only one of Wilson/Isak with the other coming off the bench and starting on Sunday against Chelsea as it would be good to avoid defeat in that game as we're the only Premiership team who hasn't lost in London this season.
