Newcastle United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Think it was Rodri who was doing the arm roll thing to tell the bench to get Eddie off after he nearly gave a goal away (because he was injured and couldn’t get there quick enough) but I am inspired by the teamwork/camaraderie/togetherness of this team. They are a unit and form an invisible type of barrier around each other. Brilliant. I love ‘em!!! :-)

It’s amazing in the media today that we seemingly were lucky to win and how unlucky Newcastle were but we absolutely battered them?! Besides the high line and Walker being a lazy twat they done nothing?

He looks like he belongs in this team, no better compliment.
I thought that was Kovacic best performance for us yesterday, I thought he was really good and gave Rodri so much freedom to go forward. For me,

That's the first time their looked to be a good balance in midfield when Kovacic and Rodri started together, Like anything new players take time to gel in, The more games Kovacic and Rodri start the better he will become.

He also looked very fit, he was getting up and down the pitch well and always looking for the ball.

If he keeps fit he will be a superb player in this side.

Just watched the TNT highlights - McCoist burst joyously into the commentary for both the barcodes goals but observed an almost Tyleresque silence for our equaliser & winner. By their fruits ye shall know them .
McCoist has really stepped up his bias hate. Ever since the charges came out he turned into an annoying screeching ****.

I agree I think we battered them yesterday, They were chasing shadows for basically the entire game and especially the second half.

They hit us on the break three times, Twice they scored and the other Ortega made a good save from Isak.

I actually feel a bit for Walker to be honest he's getting a lot of stick for both goals, I think it's an lazy assessment of both Newcastle goals just to blame Walker.

Gordon made a fabulous ran on the outside to give Walker something to think about, Dias was also too slow to come around on the cover. But the most important thing about the first goal which not many people is bringing up is Doku being a fanny, He pulled out of the challenge from Schar just before Bruno received the ball to play in behind. Doku needs to be committed and put his foot in to make a tackle and not shy away from it.

Sometimes we just have to hold our hands up to some goals and say they were fantastic finishes, Gordon's goal was a wonderful strike, For me personally I didn't think he could score from their but he was bang on the money.
