Newcastle United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Arsenal are firmish favourites and rightly so currently but there’s a long long way to go.

Rodri coming back to anything like his best could tip the scales in our favour
I actually think that nicos impression of rodders has been decent, of course nothing beats the real thing. I ain't giving up, but I'm not betting my money on it, I'll bet yours tho!

I thought the semi automatic offside generated image was off so I made as precise of a drawing as possible if you guys were curious - it even takes into account the curvature of perspective lines!

Just seen the video of full time. Haaland going up to Newcastle players laughing and smiling.

He was fucking woeful today and that’s fucking pissed me off even more. I hate that it doesn’t seem to affect them anymore.

Just pissed away a title challenge after one game. And he’s buzzing?? Fuck off man.

Takes them ten minutes to “construct” a computer image that looks nothing like the original still picture. And we’re expected to believe this utter bullshit! The game really is as fixed as wrestling now. Absolute wank and it’s sucked the life out of the game for me.don’t even look forward to games anymore. What these cunts have done to the game is a disgrace!
The image used is clearly a work of fiction. The Warren Commission would have been hard pressed to doctor evidence to such a degree as this.

Whenever we’re losing, with 10 minutes left, I cannot understand how Dias stays on the pitch. I know he scored today but he offers absolutely nothing, aside from slowing everything down. Get Stones on and you just might get an incisive pass played instead of walking football, with no urgency and no one prepared to shoot.

In a game like that we need a real hard tackling mid-fielder in the mould of a Fernandinho who can also dish it out. As others have said we are a bit soft. It's doubtful Rodri when fit can fulfil that role as I suspect he will play in a more controlled manner given his knee issues
Yep - we are too soft all day still. Bernardo needs to move aside now also. Did a while ago tbh

Disappointing result as a win today wudda being a real statement of intent ... twas a tough fixture after an international break tbf ... key decisions didn't fall our way today and Donna was probably our motm so this shit happens ... we defo improving but seem to have a 'soft centre' in the big away days ... Rodders leadership a miss in these type of games notwithstanding that Nico was good again today ... still not outta title race but a tad tougher after today ... just need a 20 game unbeaten run then :-) ... COYS ... onwards and upwards

Extremely soft and it doesnt really hurt us at home. Its a huge issue in away games.

Very soft today. We are a home team at the minute. Away we are too easily bullied. I can see us winning 16/17 of our home games but losing 7/8 aways.

No point in scouseresque whining, we were poor in defence and poor in attack. Got what we deserved. 88th minute we get a corner. It never makes it into the box and 5 seconds later we are defending our own area. And did anyone seriously think bringing on Savinho and Bobb was going to result in an equaliser ? Bring on Tuesday.
God I forgot about that. I bet the match thread fury was something to behold hahaha
