Newcastle United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Haaland and Foden bury their chances and we're out of sight. Poor performances away to teams who aren't playing well themselves is going to cost us.

Should have won with the chances we had so disappointed overall. Foden and Haaland had chances to win that game for us but we did give up too many chances as well, though I am convinced their 2nd goal was offside.

Not at our sharpest after the international break but hopefully we can build a head of steam up from now.

Shambles of a goal to concede, 100% offside but also woeful defending.

Shite performance, weak as fuck. Scoring one goal against that shite is not good enough, simple.

We had so many chances to score today to blame anyone but ourselves! But I take the positives, on another day we could have been leading in 1 min I think match day thread was awful today! We might be weak but we will get stronger and our squad is young!

Pretty disappointing after the Liverpool game. We did create chances, but we're left wanting at the back too often. Offside was dodgy, penalty decision same and joelinton getting a yellow card for his 11th foul was par for the course.

My kingdom for a winger who can finish.

If they’re a champions league team either I’m a chinaman or the champions league is shite.

Two bang average sides, the referee let them get away with enough for long enough to give them the advantage and it paid off in the end

Shite officiating all round. It’s really poor.

That doesn’t excuse what was a pretty poor performance against a side who were obviously well up for it. We looked a shadow of the side that beat the dippers.

Plenty of complaints about the ref and VAR, but sadly very few about the result as a reflection of the teams’ performances.
