Reqirements for a City away defeat.

Partisan crowd getting to the ref........check.

Big physical side putting it about........check.

Ref complicit in "letting things go".......check.

Not being awarded a stonewall pen......check.

Offside not given when it looks visibly off.....check.

Joelinton not getting carded till his third bookable.......check.

Strange reffing pattern thoughout game.......check.

Not putting chances away again.........check.

Wet lettuce Savinho our best hope to change the game...........fcking check.

International breaks getting in the way?..........possibly, but overall not good enough, we have had teams that could
piss all over the above to win games.

Still a work in progress?

You know who we really really missed today?

Rodri.

Gonzalez has been brilliant recently but that was the ultimate 'we're really missing Rodri' game.

No control in the middle of the pitch and no one linking up the play from the back to the rest of the team.

Gonzalez was invisible for the whole second half to the point I forgot he was playing and you just can't afford to have a game like that in that position, especially away from home.

Obviously he isn’t totally to blame for that defeat and others were arguably worse including Phil Foden and Cherki who did no where near enough. Those misses were also totally unacceptable.

These tough away games really show you where you're at as a team and it's blatantly obvious we're not ready to win the title again. We need a top class right winger, Rodri back, and a great no.8 as well.
And the greatest goal scorer in the world didn’t do the business either

Bit of aggression? You mean how Newcastle should have had Joelinton and Tonali sent off numerous times? The referee was abysmal with how they allowed Newcastle to play.

I want to hear this.

Sent of numerous times? Name me the numerous times? (Numerous is more than one btw)

Joelintons a ****, our research should have shown that, we should not be letting him going round bullying our lad without getting some back, maybe that would have helped the result.

Outmuscled but ref was dodgy. Tonali 5 snide fouls resulting in no yellow card. Bobb accidentally clips him and instant yellow.Guimaires looked offside on tv pics but lo and behold some cartoon representation pops up and goal is given .
Ref was merely a puppet that VAR was in control of!

Some games you realise how corrupt the game is. Brighton away a few seasons ago was probably the most obvious one, this Newcastle game comes in a bit below that. There must be at least one game a week that corrupt. This week it was our turn
I agree about that Brighton game in 2021. Ultimately that didn't matter because we had already won the league. The Brighton chair person is a bookie...

And yes today was the second closest I've seen in bent reffing compared to all the other shite reffing we get.

I am heartily sick of it. Pep knows - he has alluded to it in statements like ' we won it on our own'. But ffs why doesn't he kick up a fuss like the Dippers. If he wants evidence and a dossier all of us on here can name at least a dozen games each where the reffing has been suspect. Today was as blatant as the Fernsndes goal at OT a few years ago....

Disappointing defeat, defensively we are still not quite right. I think if Foden had put that chance away we probably would have gone onto win. We spurned too many chances today and we also didn't get the rub of the green in terms of getting at least 1 penalty.

We missed a positive result at St. James' Park in the first half. Donnarumma did his job by keeping a clean sheet, but Foden and Haaland each had chances to score a brace. We lacked the finishing touch and we paid the price.
